About Me

I have interned with Abi Ferrin, a well known designer located in Dallas Texas on South Side Lamar. Here recently I had volunteered at the 2011 Dallas Women's Expo. I am currently a volunteer singer and translator from Spanish to English at Iglesia Buenas Nuevas.

My name is Nadia Garza, graduated from the Art Institute of Dallas on June 2011. As a wife and mother of three girls my goal has been to be a role model for them, and by going back to school I feel as though I have accomplished that. My inspiration to purse a fashion degree was my grandmother. As a child my grandmother would make garments as I would sit on the floor while she sewed. I was told that in her early years she would make wedding dresses as well. As a designer I love to look at vintage fashion and get inspired by it. For my final collection at The Art Institute of Dallas my designs were inspired by vintage. I mix match fabrics that had a vintage appeal and vintage silhouettes but modern. I am looking forward to what God has for my life and will be looking to apply at a company with the Dallas area.
